SPD4459 Destination - Finding your Treasure in Central-Upper Lascar Row

If you like old or vintage chinese stuff, you cannot miss Upper Lascar Row(cat street)  which located in central.

When arrived Upper Lascar Row, you will find many stuffs from 70's or prior to 70's including movie poster, old-newspaper, old-megazine, old calender and so on. You can buy them for collection with a very low price. Even if you won't buy them, i highly recommand you also come here for hang around.
As there are many special things worth visiting.

Upper Lascar Row, so called "Cat Street", You may think that there should be many shops selling cat however, there is no shop selling cat in this street. By the 1920s, the neighbourhood bazaar had evolved into a market for antiques and second-hand items. Later, it became known as a place that sold stolen goods. In Cantonese, stolen items are called 'rat goods' and the people who buy them are called cats - therefore its nickname 'Cat Street'.

No matter you like collecting or visting "chinese treasure", dont miss the chance finding ur treasure

Grassland in the park 紀念公園的大草地

It is the only park in Hong Kong to be named for a Chinese historic figure, because Shue Yat sen lived in Central and Western District.

The footprints of Sun Yat Sen was recorded on the ground in the park, because he lived in the district for a long period of time. He was a student of Queen's College and the University of Hong Kong.

The most unbelieveable thing is I have ever seen a big piece of grassland was located in the crowded urban area ! ! ! It is a good place for having picnic and playing kite !! It is relaxing and you even can lay down on the grassland and look to the sky.

How to get there?
You can take Citybus route 5B,1

It is a Public Cargo Working Area along the coast of Sai Wan on Hong Kong Island. It is a very well known public space among local community in sai wan, the photographic community !

Also there is a corner called "The mirror of the sky(天空之鏡)", do you know why?

Let's take a look of this photo and you will know what is the reason of being called this name.

The mirror of the sky天空之鏡

Actually there is a large puddle of reflecting the sky. This place becomes a famous place for taking photos.

However, you can only go there after it rains, otherwise you can't find the puddle ! !

The Sunset

Moreover, the pier becomes a sunset spot. Since there is no any buildings blocked the views, you can enjoy the sunset view of 360 degree ! ! !

Although privately owned, the owner allows 24-hour access without setting any rules.

This area has a great view of the Victoria Harbour, and a nice sunset . People who hang out here usually are the neighbourhood, couples, families, dog lovers and youngsters. They love spending their time here.
