Welcome back to #SPD4459 The footprints in Central and Western District Blog!
Today Piggie will bring you to the long long ladder street in Sheung Wan!

The Ladder Street (樓梯街) is a street which is consisting entirely with stairs in Sheung Wan. The stairs are made by granite (花崗石), it has already built for hundred years!

Hong Kong Government has listed it as declared monuments(一級歷史建築) which means the street is legally declared to be "protected". Ladder street total lengths with 350 meters, it starts from the Queen's road, go through the Cat Street, Hollywood Road, Square Street, Bridges Street to Caine Road.

Let me show you the different side of ladder street!

There is only two streets are listed in the declared monuments in Hong Kong, and both of the streets are placed in Central and Western District. One is this Ladder street and another one is Slate Street (石板街) in Central. To figure it more out, you may check out our past posts!
